/
  • Mendip Rock EP (CD Reissue) in Mini Record Sleeve with Limited Edition Posters
    Compact Disc (CD) + Digital Album

    The Mendip Rock EP, reissued in a beautiful printed mini record jacket with inner sleeve and re-sealable outer dust cover. Black vinyl-lookalike CD.

    Includes a numbered set of two limited edition poster prints. When placed side-by-side, the prints feature an extra-wide scenic panorama of the Mendip Hills from the Mendip Rock cover shoot, with the full lyrics to "Amber" printed underneath.

    Mendip Rock was released in the spring of 2008, and contains an extended cover version of the delightful Jagger/Richards authored foray into space rock, "2000 Light Years From Home", which originally appeared on the Stones' 1967 album, Their Satanic Majesties Request.

    Each of the two print panels is approximately 6" (154mm) tall x 17.5" (446mm) wide. Placed end-to-end, the combined width is approximately 35" (892mm). They are trimmed by hand, so final dimensions may vary slightly. Poster prints are rolled for shipping.

    Includes unlimited streaming of Mendip Rock via the free Bandcamp app, plus high-quality download in MP3, FLAC and more.

lyrics

Eyes on the highway;
ears in the wall.
You do what you’re supposed to;
you think you’re fooling them all.

You bought a packet of ideas
to make an instant point of view.
With no opinions of your own,
how dare you tell me what to do?

Days filled with distractions;
keeping boredom at bay
takes all your attention—
you’ve got nothing to say.

But the conceit of ignorance,
the safety of your common ground—
It makes you open up your mouth
because you love to hear the sound.

Maybe when I was made
there was a flaw in the mould,
but I can’t see why people
would choose to do as they’re told.

Perhaps I am not here;
signs all point to that.
Look in my direction—
what are you looking at?

The journalists, they have no words;
the media is out of touch.
Convince yourself I don’t exist,
and I won’t bother you so much.
